COSMO-ART model output
Following the AQMEII recommendations, the following variables are dumped for post-processing:
3D gases
- Inorganic species: OZONE, SO2, NO, NO2, N2O5, NO3, HNO3, PAN, NH3, CO, H2O2
- VOCs: HCHO, ISO (isoprene), TOL, ETH, OL2 (ethene), API (a-pinene)
- Total VOC and OH-reactivity are calculated online in the model. A new 3D variable vocreac is created in data_cosmo_art.f90. The array is filled in within organize_cosmo_art.f90 within a loop calling the radm2k chemistry. The species considered for computing the VOC reactivity are
- VOC_REAC = sum of OH reactivities of ETH, HC3, HC5, HC8, OL2, OLT, OLI, TOL, XYL, CSL, HCHO, ALD, KET, ISO, ONIT
- VOC_TOT = 2.0*ETH + 2.9*HC3 + 4.8* HC5 + 7.9* HC8 + 2.0* OL2 + 3.8* OLT + 4.8* OLI + 7.1* TOL + 8.9* XYL + 6.6* CSL + 1.0* HCHO + 2.4* ALD + 3.9* KET + 5.0* ISO + 2.0* GLY + 3.0* MGLY + 4.2* DCB + 4.0* MACR + 10.0* API + 10.0* LIM (+4*ONIT+1*ORA1+2*ORA2)
- Radicals: OH, HO2, RO2 = MO2+ETHP+HC3P+HC5P+HC8P (= sum of all RO2)
